The Feast of Lights Candelora, Candlemas, The Ascension of Kore - February 1st Throughout history the month of February has marked the Earth’s  transition from winter to spring. As we begin to feel the strengthening warmth of the sun, the earth begins to bloom, the cold winter is replaced with fresh greenery and delicate blossoms. Both flora and fauna begin to awaken from their winter slumber and are reborn once again.   On February 1st we celebrate the Feast of Lights or the Ascension of Kore. During this time, we Witches honor and celebrate the renewal of the virginity of the Earth and bid farewell to the winter cold. The Festival of Lights is a period of homage for the many blessings the Great Mother Goddess has bestowed upon us. In our Witches tradition, during the Festival of Lights, we call upon and welcome the Goddess Kore-Persephone. Imbolg Purification Milk-Bath Recipe

one cup milk or goats milk (powder) two cups spring water three tablespoons organic honey three tablespoons clary sage three tablespoons laurel leaves three tablespoons white heather three drops orange blossom absolute nine drops lavender essential oil thirteen drops myrrh absolute In a glass bottle or bowl, blend together the milk and honey and set aside. Begin this recipe by simmering the herbal ingredient in the spring water.   Simmer for five minutes and allow the brew to cool. As the ingredients simmer, you may want to state out loud a personal incantation or prayer.  Strain the herbs from the water into a sterilized glass jar. Add the blended oils and the milk mixture to the glass jar. Seal the jar and shake well. Later add one-third cup of this brew to a warm bath. While bathing with this brew - you may burn candles in the colors of white, pink, and light blue. Keep the remaking bath blend in the refrigerator. - By Firewolf www.firewolfsmagi...
