The Silver Veil Spirit Communion Ritual - By Firewolf
Bowl of Spring Water
Rosemary Sprig (or Mugwort)
Bell or Chime
Sea Salt
Choose a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. Evening or night beneath the Moon is most powerful, especially the Full or Dark Moon. Cleanse your space physically, then sprinkle salt in a circle around you to mark the boundary of sacred space.
Place the Candle in the center of your working space. Place the Bowl of Water towards the West, the Rosemary in the North, the Silver Coin in the East, and the Bell in the South.
Light the incense, and breathe deeply three times. Let the space grow still. Light the Candle and spend a few moments gazing into the flame, when ready state or whisper the following,
“By this flame I call the light, Shining through the endless night. Guide me true, O beacon fire, Lift my spirit, raise me higher.”
Dip the Rosemary Sprig into the bowl of water. Circle it around the flame three times, ready state or whisper the following,
“Herb of vision, leaf of green, Water’s shimmer, crystal sheen. By dream and sight, the way is shown, Unveil the path, the veil be known.”
Place the silver coin or jewelry before the flame, lifting it toward the sky. State out loud the following,
“Lunar silver, sacred bright, Bridge the realms of death and light. By your shine, the gates now part, Moon’s own blessing, soul to heart.”
Ring the bell or chime three times. With each tone, imagine the veil thinning and spirits drawing near. State out loud the following,
“By bell’s clear tone, by sacred rite, I welcome spirits to this night. Step through the veil, with grace draw near, In love, in peace, your voice I hear.”
Sit in stillness. Breathe slowly. Ask your questions aloud or silently, or simply receive the impressions, visions, or feelings that arise. Record them in a journal. When you feel ready, bow your head and state out loud the following,
“Spirits kind, I thank thee all, Return in peace beyond the veil’s wall. Go now in love, depart in light, Till once again we meet by night.”
Extinguish the candle and ring the bell once to seal the rite. This ritual is most potent beneath the Full Moon or Dark Moon, when the veil is thinnest. With each repetition, the pathway deepens and your communion becomes clearer. Approach always with reverence, for the spirits you call are eternal.
