Autumn Threshold Ritual Oil Recipe - By Firewolf

With the Autumn Equinox upon us, we arrive at the sacred threshold where day and night stand in balance. The light begins to wane, shadows stretch long, and the harvest is gathered with gratitude. This is a time of honoring both the fruits of our labor and the mysteries waiting within the darker half of the year.

I want to share this “Autumn Threshold Ritual Oil,” a magickal potion crafted with herbs and essences sacred to the Equinox. This blend may be worn as a perfume, anointed onto candles or charms, or added to ritual workings of balance, protection, and shadow work. For this recipe you will need the following ingredients,

1⁄2 cup sweet almond oil
1⁄2 cup grapeseed oil or jojoba oil
nine drops cedarwood essential oil
nine drops patchouli essential oil
thirteen drops sweet orange essential oil
thirteen drops lavender essential oil
three juniper berries
one dried bay leaf
pinch of dried mugwort
pinch of dried marigold petals
glass bottle

Blend the ingredients together in the glass bottle. As you add each oil and herb, speak its name and sacred purpose. You may recite a prayer, charm, or incantation while blending, calling balance, guidance, and protection into your brew. When finished, seal the bottle and gently swirl clockwise, whispering your intention. Allow the oil to rest in a cool, dark place for at least one week before use, shaking gently each day to awaken its power.

This ritual oil may be worn as perfume during Autumn Magickal Rites. It may be used to anoint candles for rituals focused on balance, gratitude, and harvest blessing. Anoint charms or amulets for protection through the darker months. Anoint the doorways or windows to guard and bless the home. Add a drop to a ritual bath before meditation, journaling, or divination.

This Autumn Threshold Ritual Oil is both a fragrant potion and a sacred ally. As you cross into the darker season, let it guide you with balance and strength, reminding you to honor the harvest, embrace the shadow, and walk forward with clarity into the mysteries of autumn.
